FA YOUTH Cup football will make a long-awaited return to the Portway Stadium tonight as Andover Town U18 face Fleet Town U18.

The two teams will meet in the 1st Qualifying Round of the competition tonight, with both teams battling it out for an away tie against Wantage Town on September 21.

Town, who are newly entered into the competition this season, will be hoping for a good start to their debut cup run after performing well in recent fixtures.

The U18 team demolished Winchester City 10-0 in the Hampshire Youth League earlier this month with Ibrahim Outalade scoring a first half hat-trick.

Andover Town manager Neil Benson is expecting several of the players to feature for the first team in the coming weeks and is hoping fans will turn out to support them tonight.

He said: "It's a great thing for Andover to have FA Youth Cup football back at the Portway Stadium.

"We have a really exciting crop of youngsters and I hope people in Andover will come out and enjoy watching them play."

The game is set to kick off at 7.30pm at the Portway Stadium.

Entry for the game is just £2 for adults and free for children.
