ANDOVER Tennis Club finished another triumphant league season with two league titles and a runners-up medal.
Fielding squads across several competitions in the Basingstoke League, the club showed their strength again this year, particularly in the Mixed A division, where they easily retained their title.
The Andover Mixed A team, playing in Division 1, finished four points ahead of their closest rivals Beechdown.
Captained by Andrew Winnet, the team consisted of Claire Coomer, Anthony Brown, Claire Reid, Martyn Isherwood, Georgia Moon, Hallam Doney, Jennie Pope and Sarah Rolfe.
There was also success for Andover’s Men’s B team, who won Division 2 with seven wins and just one loss all season.
The team will be promoted to the top division next summer.
The Men’s A team, captained by club coach Martyn Isherwood, finished runners up of Division 1 this season, just three points behind eventual champions Kingsclere.
Andover Ladies’ A Team were involved in a tense battle for the league title this season.
However they eventually relinquished their crown, finishing third, just one point behind Aldermaston and Beechdown.
Meanwhile the Ladies B team, captained by Lizzie Austin, finished in a respectable sixth place in Division 2.
