ANDOVER Hockey Club’s Mens firsts suffered a disappointing 4-0 home defeat to Sunbury and Walton Hawks.
The home side had a far from ideal start when their keeper was sin-binned after bringing down a striker in the D.
Skipper Allmark stepped onto the line to face the flick but was unable to prevent it going in.
With no ‘keeper Andover, were Action from Andover Mens first team against Sunbury and Walton - Andy Brooks always vulnerable and Sunbury scored a second a minute later and added a third soon after.
The second half saw Andover dominate for large periods of the half but still were unable to score.
Man-of-the-match James Pawlet relentlessly created opportunities for the Andover strikers yet they were unable to convert.
In the last minute of the game Sunbury scored again to make the final score 4-0.
