THE mayor of Test Valley presented medals to the winning boys and girls who were triumphant in the Andover Swimming and Water Polo Club’s Age and Aggregate Championships.

The club held their annual championships over three days at the end of November with competitors of all ages taking part in a variety of swimming strokes and an individual medley competition.

Mayor of Test Valley, councillor Iris Andersen, was joined by club chairman Nathan Williams and club president Barry Gimminham to present the medals to the winners of each race.

In the U10 Boys, Jack Searle won gold in all swims except the IM which was won by Oliver Miles.

Lola Goddard was the star of the U10 girls category, scooping gold in all five races.

Thomas Kirwan and Oliver Cieply shared gold and silver medals for the U12 Boys with Oliver winning gold in backstroke, breaststroke and the IM and Thomas winning gold in freestyle and butterfly.

For the girls U12 Maisie Langdown won all gold medals, with Ruby GodAndover Swimming and Water Polo Club display their medals with mayor of Test Valley, councillor Iris Andersen dard and Chloe Smith sharing silver in butterfly and then sharing silver and bronze medals, with Ruby winning silver in breaststroke and the IM, with Chloe winning silver in freestyle and backstroke.

For the Boys U14, Mateusz Granica was dominant, winning gold in all races.

Logan Hammond won silver in the IM and bronze in breaststroke with Toby Fotheringham winning silver in butterfly.

Eleanor Williams won all five gold medals in her races in the U14 Girls with Georgia Langdown winning all silver medals.

Oliver Hunt won all five gold medals in the Boys U16 with Jude Goddard winning all silver medals.

Lewis Patterson won bronze medals in all races except the IM which was won by Joshua Wilson.

In the Girls U16, Tierney Goddard dominated, winning all gold in all races, with Millie Darbyshire winning all silver.

In the Ladies Open, Paige Bayliss won gold in breaststroke, freestyle and IM, with silver in backstroke and bronze in butterfly. Amy Sambell won gold in butterfly, silver in breaststroke, freestyle and IM, and bronze in backstroke, won by Ellie Smith, while Megan Kirwan won silver in butterfly and bronze in IM.

Raymond Searle won gold in the Men’s Open freestyle with Anthony Linnecar winning gold in breaststroke.

Faith Bodsworth dominated the Ladies Masters, winning gold in all races.

For the men, Guy Kitchen won gold in backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, silver in freestyle and bronze in the IM.

Roger Hunt won gold in freestyle and silver in butterfly while Richard Satchwell won gold in the IM.

Meanwhile Paul Goddard won bronze in breaststroke.
