ALI Brown scored a last gasp equaliser to secure a point for Whitchurch away at Moneyfields on Thursday - But the Jam Boys fell to a 2-1 defeat on Saturday at Hamworthy.

United faced a challenging fixture list over Easter with two away trips to teams above them in the Wessex Premier League.

First up was Moneyfields on Thursday with United hoping to recover from last weekend's narrow 2-1 defeat to Team Solent.

United conceded goals from Daniel Gauntlett and Nathan Paxton but pulled one back from a Rudy Plummer penalty.

Then, with the final touch of the game, Brown poked home a corner from goalkeeper Brad Snelling to steal a point for the Jam Boys.

Whitchurch were on their travels again on Saturday, visiting Hamworthy who sat one place above them in the league prior to kick-off.

The hosts went 1-0 up after 10 minutes through Jack Satterley before Matt Kemble doubled their lead shortly before half time.

Rudy Plummer struck in the 80th minute to give the visitors hope of another late equaliser.

However this time Whitchurch could not muster a goal in the dying minutes as Hamworthy ran out winners.

Whitchurch face their third consecutive away game on Thursday night when they play second from bottom Alresford Town.
