ANDOVER Town have signed ex-professional Ashley Vickers.
The former Eastleigh and Weymouth defender will join the Wessex Premier League club as they chase for possible promotion to the Southern League.
The centre back is regarded as a tough tackler and made national headlines when he was sent-off for bringing down a pitch-invader during his time at Dorchester Town.
Announcing the signing to the Andover Advertiser, manager Neil Benson said: "I'm absolutely thrilled with this signing.
"Ashley is a ruthless defender and will bring invaluable experience to our side.
"It's a magnificent signing for Andover Town - I would say it is a coup for the club."
Vickers made his debut for Town on Saturday as they drew 0-0 with second placed Blackfield and Langley - a club which Vickers previously managed.
