ANDOVER Cricket Club recorded their first win of the season with a 49 run victory over Bournemouth, despite a pre-game availability crisis.

The club hosted Bournemouth for their first league home game of the season, looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat to Liphook and Ripsley last weekend.

They went into the game without 10 players from their top two sides, due to the wedding of club stalwart Luke Andrews on the same day.

However stand-in skipper James O’Gorman steered his side through the tricky game, top scoring with a knock of 48 to earn Andover an important win.
