BILLY Draver scored a 21 minute hat-trick as Stockbridge finally recorded their first win of the season with a brilliant 4-0 win over Liss Athletic on Saturday.

The Robins, who had played 19 Hampshire Premier League games this season without a win, scored four first half-goals against their shocked mid-table opponents to seal an unlikely victory.

Draver scored three unanswered goals in the first 21 minutes to put Stockbridge 3-0 up, before Mike Barker added a fourth just before half time.

Only a week ago Stockbridge travelled to Liss and lost 8-0.

But a number of new signings and tactical changes made all the difference and Stockbridge raced out of the blocks to score after just four minutes through Draver.

The forward was on target again just three minutes later before completing his magnificent first half hat-trick on 21 minutes.

Barker added a fourth on 44 minutes to send the Robins into half-time with a commanding 4-0 lead.

Liss came out for the second half with more purpose and for the first half hour made the Stockbridge defence work hard to prevent them pulling a goal back.

Stockbridge then got back on top, with good efforts from Leon Sergent and Barker.

Will Hall looked certain to score a fifth for Stockbridge late on in the second half, but he was denied by a superb save from the Liss goalkeeper.

Stockbridge will be hoping for a repeat performance when they place Infinity on Saturday.
