RELEGATION threatened Whitchurch United narrowly missed out on a vital away point on Saturday, as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Fareham.
The Jam Boys were downed by a 62nd minute finish by Curtis Robbins, who earned the Creeksiders all three points in a tense game at the Cams Alder stadium.
The loss leaves United in 20th, level on points with Fawley and four points above bottom side Verwood.
Whitchurch face a tough game this weekend, when they host Portland United.
The Blues have had an impressive season so far and sit in fourth, four points behind second placed Blackfield.
However they have two games in hand over their title chasing rivals.
The game will be played at Longmeadow, with kick-off at 3pm.
