On a top track Liphook and Ripsley II batted first and scored at just shy of a run a ball to close on 257-4 with Pete Woodland unbeaten on 127 in his first game for Liphook II this season.

Weather intervened and after much maths a revised target of 183 from 30 overs was decided upon.

In gloomy conditions Longparish lost an early wicket but U15 Billy Mead on debut stroked a stylish 22 and put on 68 for the second wicket with William de Cani.

Ben Gardner added 28 from 20 balls, Barry Blackmore 28 from 15 and de Cani was unbeaten on 85 as Longparish passed the target in the 26th over.

The Ashford Hill reply quickly fell behind the rate as Oliver Coetzee took 3-32, Gary Taplin 2-14 and Tom Waite a stunning caught and bowled to secure a 135 run win.

St Cross U15 v Longparish U15.

This Millard Plate semi-final between two well matched sides saw Longparish U15 bat first and they were unfortunate to lose the early wicket of Scott Sturt to a shooter.

Billy Mead quickly followed adjudged lbw and a similar fate befell Jamie Blackmore before U13 William Samways and Jordan Blackmore fought back with 15 apiece in the face of some super bowling from J Dunsby who took five wickets as Longparish were all out for 67.

Felix Organ hit 33 for St Cross before falling to Sturt and Alex Brinton took two wickets but could not prevent St Cross securing a place in the final with five wickets remaining.

Jordan Blackmore hit 24 at the top of the order, William Samways added an unbeaten 33 and Jack Fish was unbeaten on 17 as Longparish U13 closed their 20 over innings on 111-3.
