WILLIAM de Cani hit an unbeaten century as he steered Longparish to their second win of the season with victory over Rowledge II.

The batsman steadied the ship after a difficult start to the Longparish reply, following Rowledge’s score of 174 all out.

Matt Jackman took three wickets while U15 Callum Giles picked up his first on his first team debut.

Longparish’s reply got off to a shaky start losing early wickets.

At 50 for 2 the game was in the balance, but 78 runs for the 3rd wicket from Ben Gardner and William de Cani steadied a few nerves.

Gardner departed for 27 but de Cani continued the charge, hitting an unbeaten 111 to secure a seven wicket win.

Meanwhile Martin Bearpark hit 67 as Longparish III beat St Cross V by 27 runs.

The thirds closed on 176 for 9 but Christian Dawson took four wickets for just 24 runs to end St Cross’ reply 27 runs short of the target.
