Hampshire Golf Club Captain's Day took place recently in glorious summer conditions.
A total of 76 players took part in an individual Stableford competition with two bonus holes where points were doubled, with a shotgun start at 9am. The course is in such good at the condition at the moment and made scoring high.
The winner on the day with 49 points was Paul Bird off a handicap of 17. Second was Mark Jackson with 47 points off a handicap of 21. In third place was Andy Thomas with 45 points off a handicap of four.
The Ladies competition was won by Julie Soper who scored 44 points and runner-up was Toni McMillan with 38 points.
The day finished with dinner and a trick shot show by Roger Mace, the well known local professional and after dinner speaker. Great fun was had by all during the day which was organised by club captain Brian Cook.
During the captain's speech he thanked the owners Jonathon and Lyn Spencer for the day and the green staff for producing such a good course.
