Charlotte Hull was on target for Street Ladies on Sunday
Banbury Utd Ladies 2 New Street Ladies 3.
On a pitch resembling more of a ploughed field New Street found themselves 1-0 down within 15 minutes as Banbury adapted to the conditions quicker. When Street gave away a free-kick on 25 minutes on the edge of the box Banbury took full advantage to make it 2-0.
With New Street struggling player of the match Jenna Patterson, Claire Vincent, Annie Lawton and Claire Selway thwarted further attempts and New Street went in at half-time 2-0 down.
Michaela Tobin came on for the injured Lawton and Street came out fighting and put Banbury on the back foot straight away.
The sustained pressure finally paid off when Sara Collins’ free-kick found Jess Frampton who made it 2-1 Ten minutes later Street were level as Collins’ corner found Charlotte Hull who bundled home from close range to make it 2-2.
Banbury were in total defensive mode and five minutes later Street were ahead as Frampton whipped in a cross and the ever dangerous Collins fired home the winner.
