Clatford Arms 3 Thruxton 6.
Keith H George sponsored Thruxton won this all Andover League quarter-final on a pitch on which actually standing up was something of an achievement. Chris Knight fired Thruxton into an early lead but an Arms free-kick somehow found the net for an equaliser. Casson Spencer and Jamie Pollard put the visitors 3-1 ahead and when Thruxton gained a penalty it looked game over. However the spot- kick was saved and Arms pulled one back from a penalty of their own through Shane Kimber who levelled on the stroke of half-time.
Threadbare Thruxton scored twice through Kris Hudson and Pollard to put Clatford on the back foot and as the pitch got even worse good football was at a premium but Thruxton kept their heads and Knight added to the tally to see his side into a semi-final to be played this Sunday v FC Weeke.
