OVERTON started well and matched Headley in every way early on. They were also playing the neater football and applying the pressure and kept Headley in their own half for long periods, creating the odd chance in the process.

On the 18th minute Overton won a corner and after the cross was put in to the box Ollie Bode got his head to the ball to score the first goal.

After this Headley started to venture forward more and certainly looked more dangerous. Both teams battled well but on the 37th minute Ritchie McCann got Headley level going into half-time.

The second half started with a very high tempo as both teams went looking for more goals and chances came and went before Chris Lavisher should have scored. Dave Parry, Nick Jupp and Danny Houseman all had chances but again Overton could not finish in front of goal.

So, in the end, Overton got punished again by McCann and lost the game 2 - 1 Joint manager Jamie Fewtrell said after the game: “If we could only take our chances then we would have got something from the game.”
