Hampshire Premier League Overton United enjoyed a straight forward passage to the Andover Open Cup Final with a comprehensive victory over Andover League Swifts at Foxcotte Park.
Overton got off to great start and took the lead on 12 minutes as Alex Jupp linked well with Danny Houseman to find Ollie Bode who made it 1-0.
The positive start and possession of the ball carried on and by the 22nd minute Overton were 2-0 as Bode played a perfectly weighted pass to Danny Houseman who chipped his shot over their stranded keeper.
Things continued to go Overton's way and on the half hour Luke Neller’s freekick flew through the keeper’s hands.
In the second half, Bode, Houseman Chris Lavisher and Neller all had chances but in injury time James McCallion and Ben Dibbern found Matt Bennett who then played a perfect pass to Bode who again turned his marker to hit his bullet of a shot into the corner.
Man of the match was Laith Aldoori.
