ANDOVER Town Youth White booked their place in the Peter Houseman U13 League Cup final beating Down Grange 3-1.

Goals from Ben Prior, Dylan Willard and Finn Belbin helped the Division One side topple their Premier League opponents and set up a silverware clash with AFC Newbury Colts.

Andover started out on top with Belbin controlling the game at the heart of the midfield.

With 17 minutes on the clock, Town made the breakthrough when Willard’s cross was met by the head of Prior, who scored for his 39th goal of the season.

Down Grange scored ten minutes later with a clever shot on the turn to send the teams into half-time level.

Andover raced out of the blocks for the second half and within just a minute had scored their second.

Belbin swung in a perfect corner that just needed the slightest of touches from Willard to make it 2-1.

Grange became frustrated and made several heated challenges, with the referee producing a yellow card for a strong tackle on Dylan Cole and a red for bringing down Prior as he ran in on goal.

With the free kicks mounting up, it was only a matter of time before one was perfectly lined up for a shot on goal.

Belbin hit one brilliantly into the top corner to seal the victory and send Town’s team into raptures.
