RELEGATION threatened Andover New Street earned a point on Saturday in a battling 1-1 draw with high-flying Christchurch.
Former Andover Town player Ollie Yates gave Street the lead with his side's only goal of the game, while Lloyd Cole was on target to level for the visitors.
The point is a positive one in New Street's scrap for Wessex League Division One surivial.
It means Andover stay second from bottom in the table, but closes the gap with 19th placed East Cowes Victoria to just a point.
Andover travel to bottom-half side Follands on Saturday before hosting top of the table Hamble in midweek.
