A former Farleigh School pupil helped her county team clinch top spot at the South West Schools Cross-Country Championships.

Hermione Toomey, who is now a lower sixth pupil at Downside School, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, ran for the Somerset senior girls team and finished fourth for Somerset and tenth overall, helping her team to win the championship for Somerset.

Hermione was one of six Downside School pupils representing Somerset at Blaise Castle, Bristol.
