Good win in the snow for Andover Ladies

Southampton Ladies IV 0 Andover Ladies III 2 .

THE Ladies fielded the bare XI away to Southampton IV on a cold, snowy morning.

They attacked strongly from the start with the central pair of Emma Boswell and Kirsty Evers immediately putting the opposition under pressure. Excellent passing to the tightly marked Boswell finally enabled her to find the net and open the scoring. The second half saw Andover continue to press forwardands fine tackling and intercepting by Sarah Wiseman and Jess Allmark kept the Southampton side at bay. Fifteen minutes from the end, Emma Helsdown broke away on the right wing and make an excellent cross to Paula Wiseman who slotted the ball home on the left post.

Southampton fought back but despite being awarded three short corners they were unable to score due to the superb Andover defence. This was a well deserved win for the side who all worked tirelessly and played some excellent hockey.
