Academy hit eight in pool league

Sean Curtis took his Arms Academy pool side to newly promoted Anton Harts and came away with a resounding 8-1 victory, a score that was matched by Queen Charlotte at home to Q.C.C’s.
Royal Oak made it two from two with a 6-3 win over Hurstbourne RBL while The Arms B and Charlotte Demons also maintained their 100 per cent record with 5-4 wins over the Merlin Misfits and Arms FD respectively.
Andover New Street continue to struggle back in the division as Clatford Arms Dealers came away with a 6-3 win. Angels of Luck stayed in touch after defeating Foresters Fatties 5-4 while the Shire Sharp Shooters got off the mark with a 5-4 win over Arms ‘n’ Legs. It was the Arms D who got the result of the week in this league, beating The Folly 7-2 for a first win.
Wooly B52’s sunk to the bottom of Division 2 losing 6-3 at Battle Stations and Anton Decs and Central Mankinis continued their strong start. The Decs came away from the Railway Club with a hard fought 5-4 win while the Mankinis won 6-3 at home to Plougher Rangers. QC Beebies continued their run of 11 straight league wins with a 6-3 win at the Wolversdene Warriors and both teams from the Merlin went head to head with the Massive coming out on top 5-4 against the Misfits.
Division 3 saw big wins for Folly Flyers and Broughton FC Clueless. Dave Adamson’s side entertained Wyke Down and flew to a 7-2 win and make it two from two while Broughton FC won by the same scoreline when they travelled to The Globe. Swallow Em Up gulped at the chance to win in their first game as they slipped up at home to Dirty Angels, while Ploughin On won 5-4 against Central Hedgehogs.
It was 5-4 galore in Division 4 as Swallow Smash Heads lost away at Clatford Armageddon. There were away wins for Hurstbourne RBL B and Shire Sambuca Squad against the Arms Snipers and Welcome Wanderers respectively, while Lamb A lost at home to the B in a mouth watering clash.
Division 5 saw Merlin Mafia win 6-3 at home to Slippery Stranger to go top of the league. They were joined by Play Station back in second after they overcame the Beavers 6-3. It was 5-4’s elsewhere in the division as Merlin Muppets defeated the Minions and Station Phoenix won away at Foresters Chess Club.
