Week three in the Andover Pool League saw some big scores, more 5-4’s, and a win for the Beavers.

The Premier League took a familiar shape at the top as Queen Charlotte continued their impressive form.

Ian Bryant’s team have now won 19 singles frames on the bounce, dropping only four frames in the last 27 league games. They broke Anton Harts 9-0 to take maximum points while Arms B beat Arms FD 6-3 to join Charlotte Demons and Royal Oak in a tie for second.

The Demon’s were 5-4 winners over HBTRBL A, the Oak won at Arms Academy and QCC’s earned Craig Rees a first of the season with a 5-4 win at the Merlin.

Clatford Arms Dealers went three for three with a 6-3 home win over Angels of Luck. Foresters Fatties recorded a 7-2 win at home to Arm’s D and Southampton Arms and Legs avoided tripping up at home with a 5-4 win over New Street who are still yet to win.

Division 2 saw Battle Stations end QC Beebie’s winning streak - Jason Bushell’s team with a deserved 5-4 win. Merlin Masters got off the mark, winning 6-3 away at Plougher Rangers and both Wolversdene sides picked up 5-4 wins.

The B52’s winning at home to bottom side Railway Club, with Warriors winning away at Merlin Massive. Central Mankinis made it three from three away at Anton Decs to take top spot.

Broughton FC inflicted a first defeat on Ploughin On in some style, winning 8-1 to take second spot. Dirty Angels won at home against HBT Players while the Wyke Down were easily digested by Swallow Em’ Up, 7-2.

Folly Flyers maintained their unbeaten start with a 5-4 win at Central Hedgehogs to open up a five point lead.

Eagle Leftovers won 6-3 in Division 4, home to the misfiring Arm’s Snipers to stay at 100 per cent, and it was the same story for HBTRBL B who won 6-3 at home to Central Armageddon. Shire Sambuca Squad saw off Lamb Chop A 5-4 to go top.

Royal Oak Beavers got off the mark this week, After leaving it until the last game of the Summer League to record a first win, Wanda Kemp’s ladies pulled off a 5-4 win at home to the Merlin Minions.

Foresters Chess Club slipped up 7-2 away at Slippery Stranger, while there were wins for Merlins and Muppets, who won 5-4 against Chute and Play Station who went seven points clear with a 6-3 win at Station Phoenix.
