Local gymnasts Tierney Daley, Isabelle Mountain and Leah Fenton did Andover proud when they represented the South in the Inter-Regional Acrobatic Gymnastics competition over the weekend.

The girls faced some very tough competition from the other regions including teams from Scotland and Wales but stayed calm and focussed throughout the day performing both of their routines with everything they had. Their personal best scores secured them gold with Bromley winning silver and Ayrshire winning bronze. Tierney, Isabelle and Leah who train five times a week at the Andover Gym Club have been competing as a trio for about a year now and this is the third gold medal they have won.

They are delighted with the result from the weekend, and would like to thank their coach Debbie Roberts for all her time and hard work.

Andover also had another trio competing on the Sunday with Hannah Sullivan, Rachel Beckett and Jess Gibson, who also faced tough competition in their group but unfortunately they did not medal, however they still performed a great routine and were placed seventh.
