In Division 1 of the Whitchurch and District Bowls League Andover B gained an important win 58-38 away at Alton Social picking up 4.5 points and stay in the top half of the division. St Mary Bourne Hawks however lost 46-69 (1-4) at home to Oakley and remain in danger of relegation.

Whitchurch Yellows clinched promotion from Division 2 picking up the vital point in a 44-53 (1-4) loss at home to Howard Park.

Whitchurch Blacks suffered a 36-59 (0-5) loss at home to Marnell B and have lost five of their last six matches and are not yet safe from relegation this season.

Andover A also suffered a shock defeat at home to Old Basing Cavaliers after having looked to be heading for a 4-1 victory but a fateful last end cost them the match which they lost 43-45 (2-3).

St Mary Bourne Eagles picked up three useful points winning away 56-50 at Oakley but are not yet safe sharing 32 points with Blacks.

Andover C continued their dominance of Division 4 with their 11th successive win. This time Howard Park were hammered 78-38 (5-0) as Andover increased their lead to 19 points.

Pete Merritt, Roy Booth and Cindy McLaughlin had the highest winning rink margin for the week (32-12).

St Mary Bourne Merlins lost 30-62 (0-5) at Oakley and stay third from bottom.

The final Stan Hardman League game of the season for Andover was home to Whitchurch which resulted in a 47-42 win for the hosts and fourth place in the league. In the Salisbury and District Men’s League Team 1 won at home to Salisbury Victoria but lost to Alderbury 12 points to 2.

Team 2 had wins over Wilton and Tisbury to progress up the league table.
