Haslemere 1 Andover 1
ANDOVER travelled to Haslemere which was always going to be one of the toughest games of the season. As a spectacle this did not fail in anyway and from start to finish was played at full tempo.
Haslemere started the quickest claiming possession early on and putting pressure on Andover's midfield and defence.
Once again the solidarity of the squad showed why they were top of the league and with all the pressure soaked up the door was still kept shut.
Doug Strickland made some outstanding saves but half-time couldn’t come soon enough for either team with fatigue slowly creeping in.
Andover started the second half with real menace, causing problems and some superb work down the wings earned the first short corner which George Allmark put away following up from James Pawley’s drag flick.
The tension built and Haslemere stole the ball from the midfield to push hard and steal an equaliser.
A last minute passing move put Jamie Hacker into space who slid a ball through to Allmark who deflected the ball narrowly past the post.
Andover remain top of the league undefeated with Bournemouth making the trip to John Hanson tomorrow.
