The Ladies II got back to winning ways with a goal spree against an experienced Havant side who never gave up.

Andover took the lead when an excellent through ball from Jodie Williams found Jacqui West who scored.

Andover settled down and continued to press and were rewarded when Janette Griffiths Jones scooped the ball high into the net to make it 2-0.

At the back, Andover had to concentrate as Havant attempted the long through ball but Josie Steinson, Maddie Loftus, Georgia Cooke and Bex Milton were alert to this.

Alice Lord's excellent perseverance made it 3-0 for Andover before an unlucky deflection at a short corner pulled one back for Havant just before half-time.

Andover came out strongly in the second half and soon increased their lead as Steinson, who had hit the post in the first half, made no mistake with an excellent shot from a short corner – her first goal for Andover.

Then an excellent through ball from Sally Prior found Holly Scott clean through on goal, only to be upended by the goalkeeper, and the resulting penalty flick was slotted home by West.

Havant never gave up and pulled two goals back to make it 5-3 before West completed her hat-trick from close range.

With only two games left, Andover only need a point to secure fifth place and they travel to Yateley tomorrow hoping for another win.
