Andover II travelled to Fleet and Ewshot feeling relaxed after last week's promotion winning game and a thundering pass from Sorensen found Allen whose equally powerful strike saw a diving Ship latch on at the back post making it 1-0.
A similar move five minutes later saw Ship get his and Andover's second. Fleet kept themselves in the game when shortly before half-time they clawed one back.
Andover took control again when Anthony scored a brace making the game look over and done but Fleet scored two in quick succession.
Disappointed to concede Andover dug deep and didn't really look under threat of losing their lead.
The father and son partnership of Messrs Evans played some controlled hockey in midfield and at the final whistle Andover were deserved winners.
