BRANDS Hatch in Kent was the venue for the final showdown of the 2015 Ducati Trioptions Cup, writes Tim Crisp.

It could not have been closer as the two former champions, Robbie Brown and Stockbridge rider Leon Morris, went head to head for the last time this year, with just three points it it.

Rain on Friday saw Morris on the Carl Cox Motorsport P&H Motorcycle 899 Ducati post his lowest qualifying slot of the year, Leon started from eighth place on the grid with Brown on pole some three seconds quicker.

Race one on Saturday was cut from 10 laps to six laps due to a red flag with Rob Guiver winning, Brown in second Morris in third.

Race two on Sunday did go the full 10 laps and as hard as Morris tried he could only manage a 4th place finish and with Brown on the top step Morris had to concede the title push for this year.

Chief Executive of Motorsport Vision Jonathan Palmer congratulated Morris on his excellent season.

Andover Rider Jake Archer was also at Brands, finishing seventh in final standings of the Hel Performance British Motorstar Championship.
