A NEW kit could not help Anton Aces to victory as they lost 46- 26 to Division Three leaders Arrows Yellow.

The Aces were boosted by their new Anton Plumbing and Heating sponsored kit but were always facing a difficult challenge against a strong Arrows side.

And it was the Arrows who inevitably made a bright start to the match, taking an early lead in the first quarter.

Arrows defensive circle was solid in the second quarter with Arrows GK Sophie Brown working hard throughout the match to prevent the Anton Aces converting.

Anton Aces pose in their new kit

Anton Aces started to find their rhythm in the second half as they tried out new combinations.

This included the return of Andrea Westley from maternity leave and she linked up well with Centre Kathy Holley to help Anton ACES produce some strong attacking play.

Arrows Yellow took full advantage of each turn over however and got the ball quickly to their shooters who helped them to a 46-26 win.

The victory means Arrows retain their top spot in Division Three.
