ANDOVER and District Netball League took part in England Netball’s country-wide fundraising in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Eighteen teams from the league recently participated in Net10, a fundraising event where players donate 10p per goal scored in matches over a three-week period.

Andover Advertiser:

The teams raised a massive £192 – the equivalent of 1,920 goals and an average of 640 goals a week.

One team taking part in the fundraiser scored 70 goals in one night, raising £7 in the process.

Pink was worn by the umpires and pink laces were available to buy by players.

This is the third year the teams have taken part in the Net10 and has shown to be hugely successful.
