AN ANDOVER amateur boxing club will stage a fight night in Whitchurch.

Legacy Boxing will host the 16-bout competition at Longmeadow Sports Centre on Saturday, April 23.

Eight local boxers will be competing on the bill with the likes of Brandon Thompson and Jake Abraham set to make their debuts for Legacy.

There will also be boxers from across the south of England as well as London.

For the first time on the show two local brothers will be competing.

Ron Trinder, who has just come back from a year’s lay off, and Harry Trinder, who has only started boxing in the summer, will both be in action.

Ricki Gayati will also be competing for the first time since July, when he won silver at the International Box Cup.

Tickets are £10 in advance or £15 on the door.

Talking about the event Ricki Gayati said: “We are Andover’s only amateur boxing club and appreciate any support the local community gives us.

“Our event last year had an attendance of 400.

“We aim to better that this year, with a bigger and better show.”
