Gang Warily, near Fawley was once again the venue for the Hampshire Schools Cross Country Championships.
District teams from all over Hampshire compete with the goal of representing the county in the English Schools Championships.
Qualification is decided over two races; Firstly the Hampshire Schools Championships (held at the weekend) with the top 16 from each event going forward for represent Hampshire Schools at an Inter-Counties match in February. The top eight over each of the two races usually gaining selection for the Hampshire Schools Cross Country Championships held in March. Many Andover-based athletes were competing with many vying for a top eight place. The most successful of the Andover contingent once again fell to some of the U17 dream team of Alex Rudge (Testbourne), Tom Bennett (Clere) and Chris Neil (Rookwood).
