Andover Hinds 19 Trojans II 12.
Hinds had another bruising encounter at the Goodship on Saturday.
Playing down the slope the Andover pack struggled to cope with the massive Trojans pack who pounded away at the Andover side who showed great commitment with Ricky Caffrey continually taking down the visiting prop.
With the visitors continually killing the ball and tackling too high penalties came thick and fast and Gordon Mitchell fed skipper Craig Runciman for the stand off to score and add the conversion for 7-0. The game at times threatened to boil over and the referee did well to keep the lid on this explosive encounter. After yet another high tackle the referee had finally had enough and sin binned the offender and from the penalty Runciman had the second try.
The second half started well for Andover with Pete Mort, cynically taken without the ball for a penalty try, giving Runciman the easy task of adding the extras, 19-0.
The last quarter of this match was tough with no quarter asked for and none given. Trojans scored in the corner after Andover spilled the ball and they went down to 14 after Danny Gillan was binned and Trojans got the score they deserved in the last play.
