County tournament comes to Andover

This Sunday will be a big day for the Simplyhealth sponsored Youth Academy as the club has once again been invited to host the U9 and U10 Hampshire County Tournament.

It is a real honour to host a county event and a great opportunity to showcase the club. Andover RFC will be making sure that once again it is a day to remember for players, coaches and supporters.

It’s also coinciding with Mother’s Day – and the club is offering a free raffle ticket to all mothers, aunties and grandmas who turn up on the morning and the winner will win a Champneys hamper of various beauty products and a magnum of champagne.

Academy chairman Dickie Staff said: “More than 550 youngsters will be descending on the Goodship Ground to take part in what promises to be an excellent tournament. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes for these events and I thank all the volunteers who are contributing by being on duty on the day and those who have helped with all the preparations in the preceding weeks.”
