A new home for the Airman's Cross

First published in Your Say

IN the 2 May Advertiser Craig Fisher queried the whereabouts of the Airman’s Cross. When I visited Stonehenge in January this year I discovered that it had been re-erected on the right of the path leading from the car park to the new Stonehenge Visitor Centre – see the attached picture.

I’m sure that it will look better when the grass grows and the young trees start to gain a bit of height!

Its new location means that many more people will see the memorial and there’s no charge for just going into the car park.
