Discover your community woods

First published in Your Say

ON Sunday, 8 June, come along to Harmony
Woods, off Anton Lane in Enham Alamein,
Andover.

From 10am to 1pm there will be information
and activities to enable you to find out more
about the woods and Andover Trees United.
Harmony Woods were created by Andover
Trees United, a thriving community group
based in Andover.

The aim of Andover Trees United is to design
and create a new woodland for all in Andover
as a recreational and educational green space.
These woods can be visited at any time by the
local community.

Come along on 8 June to discover the woods
for yourselves.

There will be opportunities to sign up for
future green gym events and to find out more
about the community orchards and community
food bed. Family fun activities that are available
on the day include making your own
badge and a wildlife spotting competition.

There will also be refreshments available.
The event will be run by the 23rd Andover
Scout group as part of their community week.
Any funds raised by the Scout group on the
day will go towards helping to repair the
Woodland shelter that was vandalized earlier
this year.

Dr Rebecca Ferris, district
commissioner for Scouting
