SEVERAL months ago your
lead story, front page, was
about the possible closure of
the Wykeham Club.
Shortly after your story,
the club closed its doors. I
was told this was a ‘shortterm
arrangement’. This
was at least three months
ago, and yet, despite promised
meetings that were
intended to inform the loyal
members of any intention to
the future of the club, no
such meetings have been
called.
At the end of your story
you asked for any opinions
or views to be put forward,
but I have not seen any
printed in your paper. Can
anyone shed any light on
what on earth is happening?
I, and several other members
feel that being kept in
the dark by the powers that
be is not a good omen for the
future.
