WAS being driven home from St Mary Bourne to Enham Alamein on Thursday night.
As we were coming away from Ridges Copse towards The Oak at Smannell at 10.50pm, I suddenly saw a bright ball of white light fairly high up in the sky over to my left.
I thought at first it was one of the many night-time helicopters that have been around during the week.
It then seemed to drop out of the sky in a somewhat haphazard way, remaining intact all the way down.
My view was partially obscured by the numerous hedges and trees at the side of the road.
It seemed as though it dropped down in an area to the north-east of Andover.
Could this have been a meteor and did anyone else see this incident?
