CLLR Woodward’s letter printed last week (5 September) about our Neighbourhood Warden was, I am afraid to say, not worth printing.
As far back as 28 July, I e-mailed wardens@testvalley.gov.uk (the email address provided by Cllr Woodward) asking them to identify themselves and enquired as to who briefed Cllr Woodward about the intended insane cycleway for Weyhill Road.
To date, not even an acknowledgment.
On 29 August, you printed a letter from John Barrell, who also lives on Weyhill Road, who enquired as to who this mysterious Neighbourhood Warden is, adding that this is the first time he has ever heard of this person allegedly acting on our behalf.
On 5 September, another local resident, John Porter of Millway Road, also questioned the existence of our elusive Neighbourhood Warden. So Cllr Woodward’s reference to Neighbourhood Wardens being “the eyes and ears of the community and provide a reassuring presence in your local community”
is highly questionable to say the least!
With so much interest in the Neighbourhood Warden, here is a simple open request. Please, Ms Katarzyna Slawska (for it is she whom Cllr Woodward advises is our Neighbourhood Warden), as an employee of TVBC (i.e. a public servant), please identify yourself, tell the readers of the Andover Advertiser what, precisely, is your job description and how often you visit Weyhill Road.
