THE feud between Cllrs Carr and Hooke must end and both must work together for the common good, working to improve the town’s economy.

What may have started as political has now become too personal and there may be a need for mediation between them.

I note that my own county councillor, Tim Rolt, has been more restrained in his dealings with opponents.

If politicians in Northern Ireland, who despised each other, can now work together in harmony then these two gentlemen can as well.

Both will lose votes next time they are up for election if this continues and there has been some ebbing already in Charlton of support for Cllr Carr.

Secondly, I note that the number 23 is now the most frequent number coming out in the main National Lottery draw after overtaking 44.

I stand by my earlier prediction that by next spring number 11 will overtake it!

The number eight, a favourite of my late mother, Kathleen Kidd, has recently come up two draws in a row and I believe it will continue to progress!

Interestingly, my study of USA lotteries does show that higher numbers do tend to come up more frequently than lower ones.
