THROUGH your page can I please convey my heartfelt thanks to a man called ‘Matt’?
Matt stopped to assist me on Friday, 10 October after my car became undriveable after hitting a huge pothole.
He took over my call to my breakdown recovery as I had, for some ridiculous reason, started going into shock.
Matt was brilliant as he battled with the insurance company to get me assistance.
It was by then 1.45am when they turned up and I started the call at 11.30pm.
My thanks go to the young lad that turned up with a tow rope in his car. This wasn’t needed as the insurance company agreed to send a recovery vehicle.
I arrived home at 2am.
Special mention for the 101 number as the phone number in my mobile phone was for the insurance not the recovery so 101 connected me to my insurance company.
And, finally, thanks to the two policemen, who were passing and checked I was okay.
Due to the lack of empathy and assistance from my insurance company what should have been a relatively simple recovery turned into a nightmare.
A big thank you to all the people who helped.
