A LETTER appeared in last week’s edition of the Andover Advertiser regarding the appalling traffic congestion caused by the many sets of lights present on the roundabout at the top of the Weyhill Road.
The writer is correct in his observations but I believe this is, in part, due to the severe thunderstorms we had back in September.
Following these events I noticed that most of the lights were out of sync.
What was, up to that point in time, a predictable sequence suddenly became a congested nightmare, with traffic queued across the junctions.
Thankfully they now appear to be almost back to normal, but why the delay in fixing them? Surely someone reported the obvious problem.
