YET again Cllr Sean Woodward gets his name in our local paper for the wrong reasons, for making decisions that will not, in any way, ever affect him.
It was Cllr Woodward who approved the insane bi-directional Weyhill Road cycleway that will affect many local people and pedestrians who live on this road, as well as drivers exiting driveways and colliding with cyclists who have no lights.
Now he is determined to see the removal of A-boards from our town centre. I personally find them a pleasantry and not in any way dangerous.
The letters you published recently from Messrs Pond, Cartwright and Towerton are indeed an inspiration and should be applauded for the research and audits they have all carried out.
Of course, if Cllr Woodward lived in Andover he would get a better feel for local opinion but he does not. He lives in and represents a ward in Fareham.
Isn’t it time that if local democracy is to have any credibility decisions that affect local people should be made by councillors who live in Andover?
