HAVE just read about the free school meals. It’s good to know that children can have a good meal at school – and for free.

Parents are so busy these days and tired when they get home, so it’s either microwave-ready meals or chips and burgers at our many junk food cafes.

Not so long ago it was chips at school, and chips again when they got home. It’s good to know one of the great things about my school days has risen from the dust.

Perhaps we’ll see a return of free milk, our farmers need all the help they can get. I can’t understand where this great idea of free school dinners is falling short of its target?

I love our local tabloid. There’s so much to interest readers and much to get angry about, well done everyone.
