He was elected on a UKIP platform and I am sure he would agree it would be principled for him to offer the people of Andover the chance to endorse his decision in a byelection.
Conveniently, the people of this town will be going to the polls on May 7, meaning no special arrangements are required for his re-election and no great cost would be incurred.
Surely Cllr Hooke now has a duty to present his unique and individual manifesto for Andover to the people, allowing them to decide for themselves?
