Archangel book worth reading
I WOULD like to thank Craig Fisher, this time for his article concerning Archangel in North Russia and the North Russian Relief force.
There is a charming little book called The House by the Dvina, written by Eugenie Fraser, who was a child at that time living at Archangel.
She describes the pleasure that these soldiers brought to the locals and the welcome they received.
It is worth reading.
