Never an accident
REGARDING “Shock rise in animal cruelty” (Advertiser, May 1).
Cruelty to animals is never accidental. No excuse is acceptable, and the guilty are never dealt with severely enough.
An animal has no choice but to trust its human carer, it has no voice to complain, any human being who takes advantage of this to inflict pain and cause distress must be some kind of deviant and a potential danger to us all.
