OH THE irony of Chris Lynn questioning the value for money aspect of the new local festival A-fest when the powers that be commissioned the mighty, mighty balls of The High Street at what, £2,000 a piece?
Or the new bus station minus the newly-shut coffee shop? Was that value for money?
If the local council only donated £1,000 I would think that’s money well spent as anything that enriches the town through music or the arts has got to be worthwhile.
In order to pay for next year’s A-fest why not recoup some funds by Ebaying off said orb-tastic items with the proceeds being used to fund these projects. We want these projects to exist more than we want our money squandered on spherical sculptures.
