DURING the past three months members of the Inner Wheel Club of Andover have been involved in raising funds to support our charities for the year, namely Parkinson’s disease and Breast Cancer Awareness.
In March, Jean Ray hosted a charity bridge tea party at her home for members and friends and successfully raised £275. In April, Jan Yeo, organised a barn dance which was well attended in memory of former member Mary Armstrong and raised £614.92.
We held an international quiz night at the Guildhall in May, attended by the Mayor, Salisbury and Winchester Inner Wheel Clubs, other local organisations, Rotarians and friends.
We were pleased to raise £551 which was donated to Water Aid and would go towards helping the earthquake in Nepal.
