WE no longer have problems: we have issues.
Medical surgeons do not perform operations any more: they carry out procedures.
The other day I was in the Chantry Centre gents convenience where, on a faulty hand drier was written, ‘Sorry for the inconvenience’.
It is surprising how quickly these two expressions have changed.
